1.5" Sculptured Copper (MS-376)

Item #MS-376: 1.5" Sculptured Copper. These unusual Copper sculptures are created when pure Copper is heated to 2200° F. The hot liquid Copper is then poured into a container packed with straw in cold water. The straw burns slowly and lets the Copper harden in the cold water, reassembling itself into very unique forms. No two are alike! After their “birth,” they are sprayed with a clear lacquer to inhibit oxidation to help retain their original natural color.
